Osteria L'Isola Sarda in Frankfurt

Fine Italian cuisine in a central location. You can tell from the menu that this is not just any pizzeria. After an excellent, mixed starter platter, we had tried various main courses from lamb to beef fillet and Loup de Mèr to sea bream and were thoroughly enthusiastic. The service was also very friendly and humorous, entirely on our wavelength! However, I give a star deduction for the dessert. Both the tiramisu and the zabaglione were unfortunately a bit disappointing because it was too sweet and the consistency was unsuccessful. The red wine "Primitivo" and the homemade limoncello liqueur were particularly good! Overall, a very clear recommendation!

The best Italian (Sardinian) in Frankfurt! The service is really exceptional, not to mention the excellent food here. You can tell that the quality of the products is even better, so I like to spend a little more money on it. The ambience (inside and outside) is also very pleasant. If I could, I would just keep coming here :) Highly recommended!

Excellent food in a high price range. There is an inexpensive business menu at lunchtime on weekdays. Family atmosphere and very nice staff. In good weather you can sit outside, despite the adjacent avenue ring.

Very good restaurant with fine food, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere on the terrace with a Mediterranean ambience, you feel like you're on vacation.

Not enough 4! If it tastes good, the menus are cheap, harmonious, not salty, and cheap. Home to come often!! Kindness is 5 or higher! The recommended menu is 10 seafood pasta. Pizza is also delicious because it is delicious, but seafood oil pasta is overlooked The light menu is truffle cheese pasta. I stopped by in 2020. Olives served with bread before meals have disappeared, but the quality of olive oil has increased dramatically.

To my great delight, the extraordinarily pleasant and friendly boss again hired a very nice waitress who did not treat us older people like small children (that was once) but rather attentively, kindly and owed Corona appropriately distanced himself. The food was excellent as always (try the bruschetta - not on the menu - the best in town) and the prices reasonable. There were fewer tables due to the corona, which I honestly liked better than sitting so close together. All in all highly recommended. Grace.

In L 'isola sarda there are still passionate restaurateurs! I celebrated my birthday there very spontaneously and Orlando and his staff took good care of us. Thanks again!!!

Yesterday we had the spring menu delivered and it was just fantastic! Despite delivery, everything was on point. Super tasty, surprising and of very high quality. We are looking forward to visiting your restaurant again.

No restaurant has earned the 5 stars. We were here for dinner. The service was warm and hospitable. The starter platter was already a poem. The wine recommendation very good. We didn't expect what followed. An incredibly great main course - Loup de Mer and veal wrapped in herbs were just terrific. We will definitely be back. We have rarely experienced Italian cuisine so excellently!

Nice Food in a cozy Italian restaurant. We were 4 and had diverse set of dishes from pizza, gnocchi and pasta to a salad. Everything was tasty but not outstanding. Service was extremely friendly and nice but also a overwhelmed (full house). Wine orders got mixed up and also one of the dishes was not geh right one. We took it easy since they were really friendly and sorry for those mistakes. However, you would expect something different for what the restaurant aims to be and the prices of certain dishes. We might give it a second chance though

Food to fall in love with and wines that go perfectly with it. In addition, a super friendly service team led by the very personable and courteous boss Orlando. It's always fun to eat there - payment is possible in cash and by card. A must if you want to eat Italian.

Great team and atmosphere, great food, matching wines, perfect portion sizes for connoisseurs, great dealings with children. All around an experience that makes you want more.

My opinion has not changed. Best Italian known to me. My tip: ask the boss for fish, he always has something special up his sleeve.

My boyfriend wanted to be romantic, and did well with these eateries. The whole ambiance was magical. The staff courteous and friendly. From the food, oh where should I start. The selection is difficult, because everything sounds damn tasty. I would have liked something from everything (maybe I would have burst). By and large, I can only recommend it.

Dreadful. Pasta tasted like paper, wait staff was terrible, and took over 2 hours for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was empty. So disappointing, I cannot imagine how they have so many good ratings. Will not be going back.

Delicious, fresh, genuine yet creative, nice atmosphere and friendly waiters. Nice dehors, too. Perhaps not for every pocket, but we never left disappointed.

Great food and service

We went there because we wanted to try some new restaurants in the area and the reviews were good. No doubt, the food was very nice. Sardinia gives a little extra touch to the Italian cuisine. Why three stars then? Although the restaurant was almost empty everything took super long from being able to order to being served. The waiters were not unpolite but there wasn't a really nice atmosphere like in a lot of other simiöar restaurants around here like Nr. 16. Minus 1 star for this. Additionally the prices were insane including more than 8€ for a bottle of water and 10€ for a starter made of bread and cheese. After spending quite some money there we didn't even get offered one of the typical complimentary digestifs. Minus another star. All in all good food but the same quality with a better atmosphere can be found in several places nearby.

1) Main problem : The description in the menu does not match the actual dish and when feedback was provided, chef came out to argue. Medaillon is actually meat pounded thin and knusprige lammbraten is actually geschmortes lamm but his argument is that this is the italian way. We really think the menu description in german should be changed. Although he did not charge us for the medaillon dish - his entire respond to our feedback was just arrogant. He said we should know from the price we are paying and he is a chef for 12 years without any complaints. 2) Service staff was not organised and recommendation of their highlights was done by reading through the entire page 15min after we received the menu. It took us so long to finish dinner - 3 courses starting about 18:30hrs to 21:30hrs. Was a really disappointing dinner - no wonder this restaurant always looks empty. If we could, we would not even allocate a single star out of five here.

Definitely overrated. You can get better pasta for half the price elsewhere. Only the amuse-bouche was really good, but being some olive paste it was probably not made by them.
